Damascus, December 26 (RHC)-- Syrian government forces have inflicted heavy losses on the Takfiri militants during large-scale mop-up operations across the Arab country.
Syrian military aircraft pounded on Saturday a position of the Ahrar al-Sham militant group in Hama province, destroying terrorist hideouts there, the official SANA news agency reported.
Army forces also fired a barrage of artillery rounds at the al-Qaeda-affiliated al-Nusra Front strongholds and other Takfiri outfits in Hama, leaving scores of terrorists dead.
A military source said army soldiers repelled an assault by Nusra Front terrorists in Aleppo province on Friday night. Scores of extremists were killed and seven battle tanks were destroyed.
