Brasilia, February 3 (RHC)-- Bolivian President Evo Morales and his Brazilian counterpart Dilma Rousseff attended the signing of several agreements on Monday in Brasilia. The penned accords provide for strengthened trade ties between the two South American countries.

Speaking at a joint press conference after the signing ceremony, Morales said that he and Rousseff also discussed cooperation in other sectors, among them energy, hydrocarbons, health, infrastructure, border controll and the fight against drug trafficking.

The two dignitaries also discussed the construction of the Twin Ocean Railway line, which would connect Peru's Pacific coast to Brazil's Atlantic coast through some 3,300 miles (5,300 km) of rail and the fight against Zika virus.

President Rousseff thanked Evo Morales for his support and stressed that both countries are fully committed to regional integration.
