Havana, November 28 (RHC)-- Several world leaders have confirmed their attendance at the memorial service for the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro.
Mexico's President Enrique Peña Nieto will travel to Cuba to attend Fidel's funeral. The news was confirmed by Mexican Ambassador in Havana Enrique Martínez, who added that Cuba and Mexico share a common history and have maintained excellent relations for many years.
Other world leaders who have confirmed their attendance include Spanish King Juan Carlos, Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa. Bolivia's Evo Morales and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
The Vietnamese government also confirmed Monday's arrival to Havana of a high-level delegation, led by Vietnamese Communist Party's Politburo Member and Parliament President Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
Vietnamese authorities have declared December 4th a National Day of Mourning for the death of the Cuban revolutionary leader. Vietnamese authorities paid tribute to Fidel, a close friend of the Vietnamese people.
The media in the Asian country reported that the Vietnamese Communist Party's Central Committee, the country's National Assembly and the government issued a joint statement, calling on Vietnamese diplomatic missions and agencies abroad to fly the Vietnamese flag at half-mast and abstain from organizing public festive activities during the mourning period.
