San Salvador, January 20 (RHC)-- Members of the Salvadorian Coordinating Committee of Solidarity with Cuba rallied through the streets of San Salvador on Sunday to protest the unfair imprisonment of the Cuban anti-terrorists fighters, known as the Cuban Five, in the United States.

The Salvadorian activists demanded the immediate release of Gerardo Hernandez, Fernando Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero, Ramon Labañino, who along with Rene Gonzalez, were arrested in 1998 and prosecuted later by a biased Florida court for alleged espionage charges.

The solidarity rally kicked off at the University of El Salvador and marched towards the entrance of the U.S. embassy in San Salvador, where group leader Raul Martinez delivered a letter addressed to President Barack Obama, expressing their support for the Cuban Five cause and demanding their swift return home.
