Bangkok, June 27 (RHC)-- Thailand and Cuba marked 60 years of diplomatic relations with a high-level seminar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok.
The event was attended by Ambassador Sarun Charoensuwan, Director General of the Department of America and South Pacific of the Foreign Ministry; General Surapong Suwana-adth, Chairman of the Thailand-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group; Ambassador Sakthip Krairiksh, Vice Chair of the Thailand-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, other representatives of the National Legislative Assembly (NLA), senior executives of the Ministries of Public Health, Science and Technology and Trade, as well as representatives of institutions, companies and Thai counterparts in cooperation projects.

They reviewed also the positive outcomes of the visits to Cuba earlier this year of high-level delegations from the educational sector, the Ministry of Public Health and the National Legislative Assembly of Thailand, which served to assess the progress and potential of expanded bilateral cooperation in the fields of biotechnology, tourism, health, education and sports, as well as the possibility of triangular cooperation with other countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, in the framework of South-South cooperation and inter-regional collaboration within the Latin America-East Asia Cooperation Forum (FEALAC).
