Havana, October 4 (RHC)-- Cuba's First Deputy Foreign Minister, Marcelino Medina, began Thursday a tour of countries from Europe, Asia and Oceania that includes Russia, Spain, New Zealand, Australia and Timor Leste.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry reported that the diplomat will meet with high-ranking officials from hosting governments and ministries of foreign affairs, with whom he will exchange views on issues of common interest of the bilateral agendas and the international scenario.

Medina's tour follows one made between mid-September and early this month by Deputy Foreign Minister Ana Teresita González, which included Belarus, Georgia, Poland, Turkey, Uzbekistan, the United Kingdom, Iceland and Ireland.
