Havana, July 4 (RHC)-- The executive director of the Interreligious Foundation for the Community Organization IFCO-Pastors for Peace, Gail Walker, ratified the willingness of her organization to continue its solidarity work with Cuba.

Speaking at a press conference at the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) on Thursday, the last day of the 30th Caravan of Pastors for Peace visit to the island, Walker stressed the need to continue the caravans to Cuba until the United States eliminates its economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on the Caribbean nation for almost six decades.

On behalf of the caravanistas, she ratified their opposition to the travel ban that prevents US citizens from freely visiting the island, and declared that their trip is a sign of courage and growing solidarity with Cuba.

Regarding the recent implementation of Title III of the Helms-Burton Law, Gail Walker described the measure as ridiculous and unjust, and affirmed that the attacks by Trump Administration against Cuba are a waste of time.

The leader of IFCO/Pastors for Peace gave an overview of the activities developed during the caravan's stay on the island, which included tours of places of historic and social interest.
