Havana, July 11 (RHC)--  Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez has criticized the illegal surveillance and persecution the U.S. is conducting on trade operations between Cuba and Venezuela.

The minister described on Twitter how White House aides openly boast of threats and of the illegal operations on transaction between the two countries, actions which he described as blatant acts of piracy.

“The United States has no right to intervene in legitimate relations between two sovereign states,” Rodriguez wrote on Twitter.

Last week, the US Treasury Department announced the imposition of sanctions against the Cuban state-owned enterprise Cubametales for what it described as “its continued import of Venezuelan crude oil and support for the government of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.”
