Havana, September 3 (RHC)-- Cuba will host the 16th Regular Meeting of the FAO´s Commission for Small-scale, Artisanal and Aquaculture Fisheries for Latin America and the Caribbean from September 4th to the 6th.

According to the newspaper Juventud Rebelde, the event will analyze the situation and great challenges of the sector in the area.

The identification of possible South-South cooperation actions and strategic alliances with other organizations will be of vital importance during the meeting.

With the participation of 50 representatives of member countries of the Commission, there will also be a Regional Workshop on the follow-up of the indicators for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Objectives.
