Cuba and Thailand review bilateral cooperation

Bangkok, March 6 (RHC)-- Cuba and Thailand reviewed bilateral cooperation in science, technology, ecotourism, the environment, medical care, and education, Prensa Latina news agency reported.

The meeting, held in Bangkok on Friday, was attended by the general director of the Agency for International Cooperation of Thailand (TICA), Pattarat Hongtong, and the Cuban ambassador to Thailand, Hector Conde.

According to the sources, the encounter took into account the contribution of this bilateral cooperation in the successful implementation of national development strategies.

Similarly, they stressed the importance of boosting South-South cooperation to strengthen technological sovereignty, as well as the achievement of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

At the meeting, the Cuban ambassador thanked the TICA's director-general for the support of the government and the people of Thailand for Cuba's resolution to cease the US economic, commercial, and financial blockade.

The meeting was held in the context of the 62nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Thailand.
