Kingston, July 30 (RHC)-- The Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves, reiterated his condemnation of the US blockade against Cuba, a diplomatic source reported on Wednesday.

Gonsalves described that policy as inhumane and highlighted that it not only affects Cuba since it prevents its full trade with third nations.

The PM exemplified the bank obstacles, which, as a result of the blockade, prevent transactions with Havana for the purchase of the drug Heberprot-B, a med with excellent results in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers.

The reference to the issue was part of the intervention of the head of Government on the 66th birth anniversary of Commander Hugo Chavez Frias, at an event held on Tuesday at the embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Kingston.

On that occasion, Gonsalves recalled his friendship with Chavez, whom he described as a revolutionary leader who created solidarity, anti-imperialist work, and love for the Latin American and the Caribbean peoples.
