Cuba has confirmed 1,041 new cases of COVID-19 and two deaths in the last 24 hours.
Havana, March 9 (RHC)-- The national director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported on Tuesday two deaths and 1,041 positive samples for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours, for a total of 57,607 diagnoses since the beginning of the disease in the country.
Doctor Durán reported that this is the second day with the highest number of infections, and that at the end of yesterday there were 23,436 patients admitted, of which 3,825 were suspected, 15,005 were under epidemiological surveillance and 4,606 were confirmed.
The doctor explained that the country had taken 18,087 samples the day before for a total of 2,558,109 samples analyzed.
