Havana, May 12 (RHC)—Cuban Foreign Ministry, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, affirmed that the U.S. doesn't have the moral or political authority to judge other States.

The island's top diplomat reacted to an annual report issued on Wednesday by the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom. This U.S. federal government body unilaterally judges religious rights around the world.

On Twitter, Rodriguez Parrilla wrote that manipulations related to religious freedom are only intended to justify an inhumane and unwarranted policy.

He added that the fact that in Cuba there are 1,850 functional religious organizations and institutions and fraternal associations whose membership amounts to 1.5 million persons is within the public domain.

The U.S. Commission report accuses Cuba of severe violations of religious freedoms and urges the Biden administration to impose sanctions on Cuban agencies supposedly responsible for conducting such acts.
