Havana, August 18 (RHC).. Cuban authorities reported on Wednesday 8,666 new cases of COVID-19 and 84 deaths over the last 24.
With this announcement, the Caribbean island now accumulates 545,275 cases and 4,240 deaths.
As of midnight, there were 44,730 active cases hospitalized.
Cienfuegos reported 1317, while Havana 956, and Pinar del Rio 909 show a reduction in the number of cases, those are still the territories with the highest infections.
