Cuba and Denmark are committed to strengthening bilateral relations

Havana, September 8 (RHC)-- Directors of the foreign ministries of Cuba and Denmark recognized in a virtual exchange on Wednesday the interest in boosting bilateral relations and developing cooperation projects between the two countries.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Caribbean island, the director of Europe and Canada, Gisela Garcia, participated on the Cuban side, while the director of Asia, Latin America, and Oceania, Thomas Lehmann, represented the Danish country.

During the meeting, participants stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral ties in the political and economic spheres and the mutual interests that allow joint collaboration projects.

The Cuban diplomat thanked Denmark for its support for the resolution against the blockade imposed by the United States on her country, which is approved every year by the United Nations General Assembly by a large majority.

The parties also underscored the cooperation established in the multilateral sphere and the multiple aspects of coincidence on issues related to the international arena.

On June 29, Cuba and Denmark celebrated 110 years of political and diplomatic relations.

Both nations have achieved results in commercial matters in agriculture, food, construction, biotechnology, and renewable energies.
