President of the Cuban Parliament congratulates the People's Republic of China on its anniversary

Lazo acknowledged the example that the Asian nation has given  the world in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.


Havana, Oct 2nd (RHC) On Friday, the president of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba (Parliament), Esteban Lazo Hernandez sent a congratulatory message to the head of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, Li Zhanshu, on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the founding of the PRC.


 

In his letter, Lazo Hernandez congratulates all the Chinese people on the occasion of this anniversary. At the same time, he emphasizes that relations between the two nations have been deepening over the course of 61 years of excellent ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation, and are currently reaffirmed to the world as an example of brotherhood between two peace-loving peoples. It also recognizes the example given to the world by the Asian nation in confronting the covid-19 pandemic.

"The People's Republic of China has been an example to follow, because with great wisdom, high scientific level and adequate strategy, it has managed to control the disease, also their high sense of solidarity helping many countries, us included, to fight the pandemic," said the president of the Cuban Parliament.

 

He pointed out that "It has been a new victory of the People's Republic of China for life, solidarity and friendship achieved in that battle against the pandemic in which there has been no lack of attempts to politicize, singling out and stigmatize studies of the origin of COVID-19, which we reject while recognizing the responsible and transparent contribution of China".
