Havana, October 16 (RHC)-- Cuban health authorities reported on Saturday 1,946 new cases of SARS-CoV-2, which causes Covid-19, and 19 deaths in the last hours due to complications from the disease.
Thus, the Caribbean nation has accumulated 932,768 people diagnosed with the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, and 8,37 deaths.
The head of Epidemiology, Dr. Franciasco Duran, informed that 8,781 people remain in health institutions with the active virus.
The province of Pinar del Río (west) reported the highest number of positive cases with 369, followed by Camagüey (center) with 317, and in the east of the country, Las Tunas confirmed 236, figures lower than previous days, which show the control of the disease.
