Havana, October 18 (RHC)—Cuban health authorities announced on Monday 1844 new infections of COVID-9 and 21 deaths associated with the disease.
The Caribbean island now accumulates 936 809 confirmed cases and 8079 fatalities since March 2020.
During his daily TV briefing, the National Chief of Epidemiology, Dr. Francisco Duran, said that 8 261 positive cases remained hospitalized at midnight.
The territories with the highest number of cases were Pinar del Rio, Holguin, and Sancti Spiritus.
