Havana, January 5 (RHC)--Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel has warned that vaccines save. Still, they cannot do the impossible if people do not do their part responsibly, complying with the measures.
Speaking on Tuesday at the weekly meeting of experts involved in the fight against the epidemic, the head of state insisted on the importance of carrying out with quality the home hospitalization of patients diagnosed with the disease.
"An adequate, precise, thorough, efficient home admission, so that people have confidence that this admission will have all that rigor," he stressed.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz called attention to the growth of confirmed cases, a trend that -according to experts' forecasts- is going to continue.
"The forecasts point to an increase in cases, so we urge for strict compliance with the approved measures, the need to take all these measures, to act responsibly," emphasized the Head of Government.
Marrero Cruz pointed out that "although cases have increased at the border, the system is working, cases are being detected, and the measures established in the protocols are being taken."
"We are going to continue developing the economy and social activities, but with responsibility, because we are sure that we can win this battle, just like the previous ones, but we all have to join in," Marrero Cruz said.
In Cuba, the epidemiological situation shows a new increase in the number of confirmed cases, as is happening worldwide. Cuban authorities have decided to intensify their vaccination strategy.
During the encounter, President Díaz-Canel took the opportunity to reiterate his recognition to all scientists who, amid a difficult situation, aggravated by the intensified blockade imposed by the U.S. government, have contributed to the development of science in the country.
