Caracas, May 12 (RHC)-- Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz expressed satisfaction with the fulfillment of the objectives of his visit to Venezuela, which ended on Wednesday after three days of intense work.
He told the press that it was a very fruitful visit and that being his first mission abroad, in his capacity as head of government, he was pleased that it was to Venezuela".
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the strength of bilateral ties and the bonds of brotherhood between the two peoples.
"We are going to defend Venezuela because in doing so, we are defending Cuba, and that is defending Latin American unity."
At the end of the official visit, he assured that the update of the integral agreement would consolidate alliances in strategic sectors.
"We will never give up the founding concepts of how this cooperation came about, which are those of Commander Hugo Chavez Frias and Commander in Chief Fidel Castro. We intend at this time to update this agreement, not to weaken it, but to strengthen and update it," said Marrero Cruz.
During the third day of work, the Prime Minister discussed the economic and financial experience of the South American nation in the face of the global crisis aggravated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In this regard, he highlighted the strengthening of the agri-food sector, emphasizing the recovery of pork production.
