On the legislative aspect, León shared with the audience that the 2019 Constitution showed a modern approach, enshrined the conquests and traced a horizon of more democracy, greater rights and the struggle for all possible justice.

On this subject, the diplomat expressed that the National Program for the Advancement of Women, approved in March 2021, is the culmination of many years of research and work of specialists from different sectors and entities, coordinated by the Federation of Cuban Women.

During the session of questions and exchanges with the participants, the Cuban representative gave details of the forthcoming presentation to the UN General Assembly of the Resolution condemning and demanding the end of the blockade imposed by the United States on the Caribbean nation for more than 60 years.
