Havana, October 30 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel reiterated this Sunday the humanist and solidarity vocation of our country with the peoples who resist and are faithful to their history, anywhere in the world.

On Twitter, the dignitary alluded to his closing remarks, the day before, at the 22nd International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties, where he assured that "our horizon is still socialist...despite the fierce anti-communist campaigns that the powers of transnational capitalism have turned into a dogma of the single thought".

In his message on the social network, the head of state thanked the 140 delegations from 77 parties and 60 countries for their participation in the first edition of the Meeting held in Cuba.

At the closing session of the event, the Communist Party of Spain and its Türkiye counterpart issued a joint statement of solidarity with the island and against the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade.

Spanish MEP Manuel 'Manu' Pineda pointed out at the meeting that if anything unites the communist parties of the world "it is the unconditional and unreserved support for the Cuban Revolution".
