Cuban president holds official talks with Grenada's highest authorities

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel held talks with the highest authorities of Grenada, where he arrived on Wednesday from Barbados for an official visit.

Havana, December 7 (RHC)-- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel held talks with the highest authorities of Grenada, where he arrived on Wednesday from Barbados for an official visit.

The Twitter account of the Presidency @PresidenciaCuba, reports that after the dialogue between the dignitary and Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell, in Saint George, the capital of the Antillean country, both told the press that collaboration will be expanded in the areas of agriculture, health, infrastructure, education, environment and climate change.

The Cuban head of state also met with Dessima Williams, president of the Senate, and with Leo Cato, speaker of the House of Representatives.

Upon his arrival at the Maurice Bishop International Airport, Premier Mitchell reminded Díaz-Canel that the airport "is a sign of the cooperation that exists between our countries; we are very grateful," he said.

To which the dignitary responded, "There is nothing to be grateful for.  We are brothers!"
