Guyana´s President Irfaan Ali and Cuban ambassador Jorge Francisco Soberón Luis met to strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations
Havana, Feb 1 (RHC) Guyana´s President Irfaan Ali and Cuban ambassador Jorge Francisco Soberón Luis met on Wednesday to strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations, Cuba´s Foreign Ministry (MINREX) informed.
Guyanese president on Tuesday received Soberón, who presented the Letters of Credence as the new ambassador in Georgetown.
During the meeting, President Ali pointed out the two countries have a special bond that goes beyond the political sphere and expressed his appreciation for Cuba’s support of Guyana’s development, particularly in human resource training.
Ali also stressed Guyana and Cuba may integrate mutual efforts in different areas including food security and production.
Soberón Luis, on the other hand, thanked Guyana for its nonstop support and acknowledged many areas in which the two countries can further collaborate. (Prensa Latina)
