Havana, March 11 (RHC) Leaders and workers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Cuba, paid tribute to Ambassador Jose Agustin Fernandez de Cossio Rodriguez, who died recently.
At the Pantheon of Veterans of the Wars of Independence, in Havana’s Colón cemetery, his coworkers, along with family and friends, recalled the extensive career of Fernandez de Cossio Rodriguez at the service of revolutionary diplomacy and his country.
Highlighting the qualities of the ambassador who died on March 8 at the age of 89, Rogelio Sierra, rector of the Raul Roa Garcia Higher Institute of International Relations (ISRI), expressed gratitude for the teachings of an indispensable reference and part of the history of Cuban revolutionary diplomacy.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, among other leaders, as well as ISRI students. (Source: Prensa Latina)
