Cuban leaders evoke Vilma Espín on the anniversary of her birth
Havana, April 7 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel evoked this Friday the influence and example of Vilma Espín, heroine of the Revolution, on the 93rd anniversary of her birth.
“Our endearing memory for the heroine of the plains and the Sierra, the founder of the Women's Revolution within the Cuban Revolution”, the president wrote on Twitter. “Today we celebrate his 93rd birthday and may his transformative work live among us. #AlwaysVilma”.
In the same way, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, paid tribute to Vilma, whom he defined as a worthy example of a Cuban woman, a heroine of the Sierra and the Llano, greatly admired and loved by the people, with a lifetime at the service of the Revolution.
