Cuba and Uganda celebrate 49th anniversary of diplomatic relations
Havana, May 9 (RHC) Cuba and Uganda celebrate the 49th anniversary of the beginning of their diplomatic relations, according to a note from the Cuban embassy in the African country.
The text indicates that the history of the political relations of both countries has been enriched during the last year with the strengthening of the bilateral exchange between the government Parties, the Foreign Ministries, as well as with the beginning of relations by youth and student organizations.
Likewise, new mutually beneficial cooperation projects are foreseen with an increase in trade, the renewal of sports cooperation, and the establishment of exchanges between university institutions.
The note from the Cuban embassy adds that the launch of the program for the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, to be held in 2024, will aim at promoting and specifying all the projects in which work is being done, for greater mutual understanding between both peoples.
