Youth leaders from India travel to Cuba
Havana, May 22 (RHC) Youth leaders from India left for Cuba to show their support for the island and learn more about their resistance against the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States.
Mayukh Biswas, general secretary of the Student Federation of India (SFI), and Nitheesh Narayanan, vice president of the organization, reported in their Twitter accounts on their participation in a solidarity mission with the Caribbean nation.
Biswas affirmed that during their stay on the island they will learn about the impact of imperialist aggressions on the daily life of Cubans, and in turn about the creative resistance of the Revolution.
Meanwhile, Narayanan assured that they will join the World Federation of Democratic Youth and the solidarity mission to witness the process of building a revolutionary society and learn from people of unparalleled spirit and commitment to socialism.
Both Biswas and Narayanan are also the main editors of Student Struggle, the magazine of the Central Executive Committee of the SFI, an organization that fights for the rights of the new generations of the Asian country, mainly for a better educational system.
Since its formation in 1970, the SFI aligned its policies with the ideologies of independence, democracy and socialism and currently has more than four million members. (Source: PL)
