Luanda, September 3 (RHC) -– Strategies to strengthen cooperation between Angola and Cuba were the focus of discussions carried out today by Angolan Vice President Manuel Vicente and Cuban ambassador to Angola Gisela García.
During the meeting, the ambassador delivered a message from Ricardo Cabrisas, Vice President of the Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas and different issues related to bilateral cooperation were discussed, García told reporters after the meeting with Vicente.
She said the meeting was part of the follow-up activities to President José Eduardo dos Santos's visit to Cuba, where several strategies to expand bilateral cooperation were drafted.
The relations between the countries are excellent, also very diversified and based on friendship and solidarity, she said, adding that the sectors of health care, energy, education and water management are the most privileged in terms of cooperation.
More than 4,000 Cubans are part of the cooperation programs being carried out in the African country at the moment.
