Madrid, September 16 (RHC)-- Fernando González, one of the Cuba Five, traveled to Madrid to participate, as a guest, in the celebration that the Communist Party of Spain hosts every year.
While in the European country, the Cuban anti-terrorist will meet with representatives of associations of solidarity to the Caribbean nation, and will attend other activities as a demonstration of support for the struggle to free the remaining three who are still in U.S prisons.
“In Madrid, Fernando González will find genuine expressions of appreciation for true justice and extensive displays of solidarity and love for the island,” said Cuba's ambassador in Spain, Eugenio Martínez.
Recently, more than 300 Spanish politicians signed a letter calling on U.S. President Barack Obama to release the Cuban prisoners, who have been locked up in the United States for 16 years now.
