Havana, Nov 14 (RHC) The 14th International Meeting of Economists on Globalization and Development Problems will begin today in Cuba, with the participation of national and foreign specialists.

The event will take place at the Convention Center until November 17, after 10 years without holding this type of meeting whose debates could contribute to decision-making in this complex and uncertain, but interconnected world.

In this regard, Oscar Luis Hung, president of the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC), commented to the press that the attendees, from their different lines of thought, could collaborate in the search for solutions to put in the hands of decision-makers proposals with a consensus from different perspectives of social science.

According to Hung, these exchanges will be enriched this year from the presidency of Cuba of the G77; the new presidency of the BRICS group, the inclusion of new members and the opening of its bank; war conflicts; as well as the blockades of different countries.

This 14th Meeting will have a broad academic program with 13 thematic axes, including the challenges of the international economy in times of crisis, multilateralism from its different visions, and economic globalization; international trade; social inclusion and structural mutations; Sustainable Development Goals; among others.

The event will also have an expofair; a business forum and another dedicated to young people that will have participants from about 20 countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia Colombia, United States, Panama, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, and Spain.
