Havana, Nov 28 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez left on Monday for the United Arab Emirates, where he will participate in this meeting of high global impact, which will also include a summit of G-77 leaders and China on climate change.

As part of these days of international dialogue, he will take stock of the progress established by the Paris Agreement (historic climate treaty signed in 2015), and will outline the action plan to drastically reduce emissions and protect lives and livelihoods, the UN website indicates.

Accelerating action to address the climate crisis, taking into account the records of global temperatures and extreme weather phenomena affecting the planet's population, is one of the fundamental purposes of COP28, this year's UN climate change conference, in which Cuba's voice will be present.

The Presidency of Cuba informed, through its digital platforms, that the Cuban Head of State will later make official working visits to Qatar and Iran. (Source: Granma newspaper)
