Havana, March 30 (RHC) -- The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Diaz-Canel reaffirmed Saturday his country's support for Palestine in the face of Israel's military onslaught, and demanded an end to the genocide in the Gaza Strip.
In his account on the social network X, the dignitary said that "as long as the Palestinian land continues to be martyred, bled, destroyed to its foundations by the hatred of the Israeli occupier, we cannot tire of denouncing the crime and calling on the international community."
"Cuba demands an end to the genocide now," Díaz-Canel added in his message.
For his part, also on the same platform, and on the occasion of Palestinian Land Day this March 30, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez pointed out that a genocide is perpetuated in Palestinian territory and the population continues to lose its land.
Since the beginning of Israel's aggression against the Gaza Strip last October 7, the death toll in that coastal enclave has reached 30,000, among them around 13,000 children.
During the current cycle of violence, that Zionist State confiscated 2,700 hectares of Palestinian land.
Cuba advocates peace in those territories on the basis of the creation of two States, allowing the people of Palestine to exercise their right to self-determination and to have an independent and sovereign State within the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. (Source: Prensa Latina)
