Havana, November 9 (RHC)-- The President of the National Defense Council, Miguel Díaz-Canel, toured the municipalities of the capital most affected by Hurricane Rafael on Saturday afternoon.

According to the website of the Presidency, the president began his trip at the Eduardo García Delgado pre-university school in Boyeros, where students, workers and families joined in the recovery of the center, which did not suffer material damage, but did suffer damage to the trees.

Later, in La Lisa, one of the municipalities most affected by the power lines, Díaz-Canel visited the San Agustín neighborhood, and insisted on the need to advance in garbage collection and to involve not only the population, but also the work centers located in the area.

As part of his tour, he also visited several points in the municipalities of Marianao, Playa and Plaza de la Revolución, where he exchanged with those who were immersed in the work of cleaning the streets and revitalizing the power lines, all of which were greatly affected by the fall of trees.

In his words to the people who were working on the cleaning tasks, Díaz-Canel insisted that "we are going to get through this because there are young people committed to their Revolution, to their people, there are the people and there are the Revolutionary Armed Forces."
