Panama City, April 08 (RHC) Cuban Reverend Raul Suarez, who is participating in the forums parallel to the 7th Summit of the Americas in Panama, condemned the decree issued by the Obama administration describing Venezuela as a threat to U.S. national security.

We were surprised for this decree does not reflect the interests of Latin American and Caribbean people, said Suarez who is a member of the Cuban Council of Churches.

The Reverend recalled that the 2nd Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, held in 2014 in Havana, declared this region a Zone of Peace, a reason for governments to disapprove such executive order signed by the U.S. President.
