Havana, November 5 (RHC)-- Cuban authorities plan to set up a mixed enterprise to produce luxury bathrooms fittings and accessories to meet the national demand, particularly tourism and other prioritized sectors.

The initiative is included in the new foreign investment portfolio of the Cuban Iron and Steel Industry, presented at this year's 33rd edition of Havana's International Trade Fair (FIHAV 2015).

Cuban and foreign experts agree the materialization of the project will have also an immediate, significant impact on the Cuban housing program over the next several years.

The new joint company will be headquartered at the Mariel Special Development Zone, in the western province of Artemisa.
