Cuban singer-songwriter Vicente Feliú held a performance over the weekend at the Luz de Gas hall in Barcelona, Spain, during the 25th edition of the Barnasants Festival.

The Barnasants Festival is an international festival of songwriters in Barcelona, with performances taking place at the same time in different venues across the city.

The Cultural Project 'Barnasants cançó d'autor' was born with the aim of giving impetus to the 'cançó d'autor', to embody the spirit and values that represented the movement of the nova canço, to make it known to the younger generations and to encourage them to appreciate it.

A founder of the New Trova movement in 1972, along with Pablo Milanés, Silvio Rodríguez, Noel Nicola, and many others, Vicente Feliú is the author of dozens of trova pieces, very popular in Cuba, in Latin America and also in Spain.

In 2012, he was awarded Cuba’s Cubadisco Honorary Prize. Currently, Vicente Feliú directs the Canto de Todos Cultural Center, devoted to the promotion of exchanges and meetings among trova musicians from the Ibero-American region.
