Oliver Stone asks for Nobel Peace Award for Cuban doctors

Havana, August 15 (RHC) – U.S. filmmaker Oliver Stone expressed on his Twitter account his admiration for the humanitarian work of Cuban doctors and signed the online petition for the Nobel Peace Award to the Henry Reeve medical brigade.

"I have always admired the humanitarian work of Cuban doctors in so many countries affected by pandemics, natural disasters and preventable diseases. The Henry Reeve Brigade deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. Join @CubaNobel and signed the petition today!," urged the director on his profile on the social network Twitter.

Three Oscars and five Golden Globes distinguish the professional career of Stone, a director who is often inspired by real events to conceive most of his works. Most of the awards were obtained for Platoon (1981), Wall Street (1987) and Born on the Fouth of July (1989).
