Havana, August 16 (RHC)-- Cuba's Timbalaye Cultural Integrating Project is taking roots in Mexico and Italy with the creation of rumba schools, said project manager Ulises Mora.
Timbalaye is already a reality in Rome as 'Clave de Son' school is offering courses including rumba, Cuban salsa, son and Afro-Cuban dance, Mora told Prensa Latina news agency.
Celebrations, dedicated to late Cuban singer Benny Moré on his 95th birth anniversary, will take place in four Cuban provinces including Havana, Matanzas, Pinar del Río and Cienfuegos.
Mora said Timbalaye project is in favor of the release of Cuban anti-terrorists Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino and Antonio Guerrero –- still imprisoned in the United States.
Mora said that the project is designed to form the invisible part in people's minds and make them better persons through our culture and the legacy of our ancestors.
