Bern, May 28 (RHC)-- The Cuban duo Buena Fe expressed on social networks their joy for the concert recently held in the Swiss city of Geneva.

In a video posted on Facebook, artists Israel Rojas (lead vocals) and Joel Martinez (acoustic guitar and second voice) described as "beautiful and full of love" their presentation the day before at the Maison des Associations with audiences from different countries.

Rojas highlighted the presence of people from Cuba, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and other countries, and praised the organization of the event and the beauty of Geneva.

He also expressed his gratitude to those who understand that the Buena Fe concerts are held in the spirit of peace, culture, music, dialogue and beautiful things.

A few days ago, the popular Cuban duo on tour in Spain, where they were presenting their album Morada, was attacked and threatened by reactionary sectors of the island's emigration.

After the events from Cuba, President Miguel Díaz Canel, the Music section of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba, other institutions and the people expressed their support to Buena Fe, victim of mistreatment that escalated to physical violence and went beyond all limits.

They also rejected the pressures on the public and local programmers in the Iberian nation who, sometimes without having great economic resources, maintain the will and commitment to promote Cuban music abroad.

Against this backdrop, Rojas called attention to the attempts to damage that necessary, absolutely organic cultural exchange that Cuba has with Spain, Europe and the rest of the world.

The duo also thanked Spanish artists and political formations that showed their support and solidarity in these circumstances.

Buena Fe had to announce "with sadness" the suspension of their concerts in the cities of Salamanca and Zamora.

We cannot allow these unintelligent, uneducated and vulgar practices to be installed in Cuban culture, in the heart of our nation," the duo's leading voice publicly stressed.
