Cuba adds two other ball players to their preselection

Havana, (RHC) - The National Baseball Comission added two players, Yodanis Alarcón and Yosvani Peñalver, to the group of players that are aiming for a spot in the Cuba team that will compete in the upcoming pre-Olympic tournament in Arizona, USA, and announced the group formed to define the one that will take part in the U-23 Pan American Championship .

 

"Together with the coaching staff that will be in charge of the preparation ... we decided to add to the preselection the infielder Yodanis Alarcón and the outfielder Yosvani Peñalver", specified the note.

 

The message also states that the continental appointment for players under 23 years of age is convened from February 19 to March 1, with Cuba in the elimination group assigned to play in Honduras, in which Panama, Colombia, Argentina, Guatemala and Honduras will also perform.

 

 

The Super Round U-23 will be played in Nicaragua, as well as the matches of Pool B (Nicaragua, Brazil, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Dominican Republic and Venezuela) with the presence of the first three of each group. This event gives three places for the World Championship that will take place in Mexico.
