Havana, November 17 (RHC/JIT)-- Cuba's Jasiel Rivero moved up to seventh place among the best Latin American players in the 2021-2022 Endesa League in Spanish basketball.

The Havana-born power forward scored 12 points after his performance in the 10th round of the tournament to be chosen as the most outstanding performance among Latinos, which increased to 23 the accumulated in the voting sponsored for the fourth time by the league and the EFE agency.

Rivero, who is playing for the third season in the Iberian league, stood out in his team Valencia Basket's 87-79 victory to take away Barcelona's undefeated record last Sunday at the Palau Blaugrana.

The Cuban will play the rest of this week against the French JL Bourg Basket in the Eurocup on Wednesday 17 and against Bilbao in the Endesa on the 20th, after which he will travel to join his national team with a view to the American qualifiers.

For this first window towards the 2023 World Cup in the Philippines, Indonesia and Japan, those from the largest island of the Antilles will meet the squads of the United States and Puerto Rico in the Aztec city of Chihuahua on the 28th and 29th as part of the Group D actions.
