Real Madrid conceded a goalless draw against Cadiz in the 18th round of the Spanish soccer league

Havana, December 20 (RHC)-- Real Madrid conceded a goalless draw against Cadiz in the 18th round of the Spanish soccer league and lost a streak of 10 straight victories.

Los Merengues clearly dominated the match and shot at goal 34 times, but failed to beat Argentine goalkeeper Jeremías Ledesma.

Cadiz resisted and in the last 15 minutes delayed almost all their players to clear balls and try an effective counterattack that they managed to organize twice with danger.

Sevilla, second in the standings and 2-1 winners over fifth-placed Atletico Madrid on Saturday, closed the gap on leaders Real Madrid to six points.

At the Coliseum, Getafe, 16th in the table, secured a last-gasp victory over Osasuna (12th) with an unassailable header from Dario Poveda (90+3 minutes) after a great cross from Damian Suarez.

For their part, Granada defeated Mallorca 4-1 for their second success in a row at home, thanks to three goals from Jorge Molina (20th, 61st and 90+1st minutes), who is the oldest player to score that many goals in a Spanish league match at the age of 40.

Antonio Puertas also scored for the Andalusian club (90+6) and for the defeated side, Dani Rodríguez (24).

Athletic Club also beat Betis 3-2 with a decisive goal by Óscar de Marcos in the 89th minute.

In San Mamés, Iñaki Williams opened the scoring at the start of the match (minute two), after a shot inside the box, but Juanmi Jiménez quickly equalized (minute six) by taking advantage of Álex Moreno's header at the far post.

After the visit to the changing rooms, Frenchman Nabil-Fekir (52nd) gave the visitors the lead and 20 minutes later Williams tied the match with a powerful shot.
