Reports from the Russian city of Serpukhov state that the Cuban fell by judges' decision to local bronze medalist Vsevolod Shumkov.
The 10-round decision deprived the also number two in the XIX Pan American Games of Santiago 2023 of advancing to a bout for the 57 kg IBA PRO belt.
It was Horta's debut in duels of this length, without coining the purpose of overcoming an opponent defeated by his compatriot Lázaro Álvarez in a previous edition of these bouts.
