Havana, February 21 (RHC) -- The president of the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (Inder), Osvaldo Vento Montiller expressed his gratitude for Cuba's presence at the First Future Games, which will be inaugurated this Wednesday in Kazan, Russia.

According to the sports publication JIT, Vento Montiller was speaking at a meeting of high-ranking sports authorities and distinguished visitors, organised in the run-up to the event.

"We are grateful for Russia's support in making the Cuban presence possible, which ratifies the solid relations of friendship and cooperation between our nations," he said.

He also reaffirmed the willingness to create a working group on sports within the framework of the Cuba-Russia Intergovernmental Commission for Commercial, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

"We consider it important to promote the exchange of experiences between specialists from both countries, as well as to ensure that Russian athletes travel to events on the island and Cuban athletes travel to Russia," said the Inder director.
