Havana, Mar 8 (JIT) - The advance of Teudys Brook to the final of the Adriatic Pearl Youth World Cup and the definition of the path to be followed by its first representatives in a women's universal championship are news today for Cuban boxing.
Brook defeated Kazakhstan's Bibarys Ashirbay 5-0 and will fight this Sunday for the 71 kg belt against Russia's Prokhor Starbcev in the event held in the Montenegrin city of Budva, where he is the only member of his team to advance from the opening round.
Also during this day, the draw for the world women's event that will start on Sunday in the Serbian city of Nis, which will host the Cuban debut in those matches, was defined.
