Tokyo, Apr 27 (PL) Cuban pitcher Raidel Martinez continued unbeaten in the Japanese Professional Baseball League by scoring his eighth save of the season in a 2-1 victory for his Yomiuri Giants against the Hanshin Tigers.

Before 42,000 fans of the opposing team, the natural right of the western province of Pinar del Río closed the ninth entry with a single allowed, preserving the victory for the visitors.

Martínez, with his new team of the Central League, extended his streak without accepting races to nine and two-thirds, a path where he has driven four batters, fanned eight, and tied five unmountable.
