Washington, April 18 (RHC) U.S. President Donald Trump has reiterated that he hopes to meet the leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK),  Kim Jong-un,  in June and work is underway to find the best location for the meeting.

However, he also pointed out that this meeting might not happen if preparing talks do not go well, reports Prensa Latina news agency.

Trump made these remarks in his private residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, where he is hosting Japanese Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe.

Meanwhile, in a twit Wednesday, Trump said that Mike Pompeo, the current CIA director and his nominee to be the top U.S. diplomat, formed a good relationship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un when they met in secret.

“Mike Pompeo met with Kim Jong Un in North Korea last week. Meeting went very smoothly and a good relationship was formed. Details of Summit are being worked out now. Denuclearization will be a great thing for World, but also for North Korea!” Trump said on Twitter.

Pompeo’s visit and the Tweet provide the strongest sign yet about Trump’s willingness to become the first serving U.S. president ever to meet a North Korean leader.
