Montevideo, March 18 (RHC-NNN) -- Uruguayan foreign minister Luis Almagro confirmed that a delegation from Unasur (Union of South American Nations) is ready to sponsor dialogue towards solving the current situation in Venezuela, as was agreed upon at the recently held meeting of the bloc's foreign ministers in Santiago de Chile.
“At the Unasur extraordinary ministerial meeting we agreed to create a committee to promote dialogue in Venezuela and I believe that a first meeting can be reasonably expected on March 25th and 26th”, Almargo said.
On March 12th, following talks on the sides of the inauguration ceremony of Chilean President Michelle Bachelet, it was agreed that a Unasur ministerial delegation visit Venezuela to address the situation and help establish a round of dialogue.
From Santiago, the new Chilean president called on all sides in the Venezuela confrontation to dialogue and overcome 'the situation of violence and killings'.
