Kansas City, October 16 (RHC)-- In the U.S. state of Missouri, Kansas City housing advocates protesting evictions during the COVID-19 pandemic chained themselves to the front doors of the Jackson County Courthouse in an attempt to shut down the court all day and block eviction hearings.
Activists with the group KC Tenants have referred to evictions during the pandemic as “acts of violence.”
